The company Euroitalia has taken over the perfume license of fashion house DSQUARED². In September 2018 two new fragrances Wood for Him and Wood for Her was launched in Milan, followed by Press launch in Switzerland & Harvey Nichols, UK. New project is in line with the theme of the first fragrances of the house – He Wood from 2007 and She Wood from 2008.
Wood is a dual project designed around the characteristics of wood – strong and sturdy, with a complex structure that makes it unique and inimitable – creating two new scents that define the contemporary Dsquared2 man and woman: sensual, confident in themselves and their personalities.
A linear bottle, in burnished glass for men and clear glass for women. Each bottle has a unique cap made of the highest quality ash which is created piece by piece, offering a level of craftsmanship that has almost disappeared. The cap also features a magnetic closure.
The mixture of warm and cold materials meet without losing their own sensory qualities. Wood as a material lends an archaic flavour, powerful yet reassuring, while the brilliance and clarity of glass and aluminium, enhance the preciousness of the liquid inside. The exclusive crafting of the bottom allows the glass to spread into a curve, which creates a new element inside the bottle – a tear-drop shape – like another ampoule to hold the fragrances. The flocked packaging is elegant and tactile, in dark brown velvet for him and pink velvet for her. Sealed with a maple leaf, the unmistakable symbol of the Dsquared2 fashion house is a guarantee of quality, research and innovation.
Subtle play between power and seduction sets the scene for the new Wood ad campaign. Created by Mert & Marcus and with the artistic direction of Dean and Dan Caten, the campaign features models Anna Ewers and Julian Schneider. They become perfectly entwined in a whirl of motion featuring passionate, energetic and dynamic bodies. They meet and collide in a play of sensual and intense glances and complicity.
Dsquared2 Wood For Him and For Her has been propelled in premiere retail stores in UAE during the long stretch of April 2019 and showed at all significant spots through in-mall animations at Deira City Center (Dubai) and Fujairah City Center (Fujairah) at prime spots of every shopping center and showcased the much worked out for advertising elements in-store.
